Giving notice is the first step in the eviction process. A 24 hour demand for possession is used in situations where a tenant is involved in illegal drug activity.

Who: This notice is used when a tenant, a member of the tenant's household, or a tenant's guest, is involved with any type of illegal drug activity.

What: This is the required notice giving the tenant 24 hours to vacate the premises, or a lawsuit may be initiated.

When: Give this notice 24 hours before initiating court action for and eviction.
