Document Description

Giving notice is the first step in the eviction process. The notice required in Kentucky for non-payment of rent is a 7 Day Notice. This notice gives the tenant 7 days to either pay the amount due or vacate the premises.

Who: Give this notice to a tenant who is behind on their rent.

What: This is the required notice that gives the tenant either 7 Days to pay or vacate before eviction proceedings are initiated.

When: Give this notice as soon as your tenant is behind on rent beyond a grace period, if any.

Important: Notice may be served by personal delivery, posting on the premises or certified mail. It is wise to keep a copy along with the proof of service.
