If you’ve made the decision not to renew your existing tenant’s lease, it’s important to ensure that you proceed with caution and cover all of your legal bases. Next to the eviction process, this is one of the most sensitive operations property managers carry out. This form clearly sets forth the terms for the remainder of the lease, including rent payment procedures and the move-out process. It is intended to serve as formal notice to vacate the premises.
Who: Tenants whose existing lease will not be renewed.
What: Formal notification of non-renewal and initiation of the termination process.
When: As long as possible before the termination of the current lease (check local regulations for the required time frame for lease termination notification).
