Giving notice is the first step in the eviction process. This notice is required in New Mexico for violations OTHER THAN Non-Payment of Rent.

Who: This notice is required to be given to a tenant who is in non-compliance before the landlord may file eviction proceedings.

What: This is a 7 Day Notice of Non-Compliance which gives the tenant an opportunity to correct the issue or vacate before a landlord files in court for tenant's eviction.

When: Give this notive to the tenant 7 days prior to filing eviction proceedings.
