The purpose of this summary is to familiarize tenants and landlords with the
provisions of this Code and with their rights and obligations under the Code. The Residential Landlord Tenant Code applies to all leases signed after July 17, 1996.
This is only a general summary and does not cover all aspects of the Landlord Tenant Code. A landlord is required to give this to a new tenant prior to, or at the beginning of the rental term.
